Finding nemo submarine voyage3/30/2023 ![]() The subs have been repainted a new flashy yellow above the water, with a light blue strip dividing a dark blue/black hull below the water. The ride’s submarines do not actually submerge they are boats in which the passenger seating area is below the water level. The load/unload areas are themed as an Australian Harbour, just like the movie. The attraction uses the same submarines used in the former Submarine Voyage. The SubmarinesĮarly promotional image for the ride, some features appear different from this early artwork. The a song &Beyond the Sea (instrumental) plays as the captain thanks the passengers for riding. The submarine then enters the harbor and view a pair of king crabs snapping at air bubbles atop a sewage pipe. He then says, “We better get out of here before we see a sea serpent or a mermaid.” (in reference to the prior attraction which featured mermaids and a sea serpent.) Soon after he says this, we see a coral formation shaped like the sea serpent’s head. The sub captain tells the first mate and the passengers not to mention anything because nobody would probably believe them anyway”. ![]() As Dory swims about trying to speak whale, the whale shoots the sub out through its blowhole. Suddenly, a pod of blue whales appear and one of them swallows Dory and the submarine. The fish gather and celebrate finding Nemo once again. The volcano erupts just as the subs escape and enter the coral reef once again. As lava flows down the edge of the volcano, the Tank Gang chant and Marlin finally finds Nemo. The submarine reaches the active underwater volcano. After Marlin and Dory escape, they encounter a school of jellyfish. Suddenly a monstrous angler fish appears. The sub goes dark and Marlin and Dory are suddenly surrounded by small glowing dots. The subs hit one, shaking the sub and causing it to temporarily lose power. Bruce, Anchor, and Chum swim around a sunken war submarine surrounded by mines. The subs then exit the current and enter the Graveyard of Lost Ships where Marlin and Dory continue their search for Nemo. The captain says they are approaching open water and the subs pass Crush, Squirt, and the other green sea turtles and enter the East Australian Current. Ray and his class swimming through the coral looking for Nemo as well. ![]() Further along the reef, the guests come across Mr. The subs pass Marlin and Dory as they discover Nemo has become lost once again. The subs then pass through a dark cavern where eels lunge towards the sub and lobsters are fighting. The captain says due to amazing new marine technology called “sonar hydrophones, they can actually hear the fish talk. Shortly after passing into the caverns, the guests can view moray eels snaking out of the coral at the sub as it passes, and lobsters pinching at the sub. The captain commands the sub to dive deeper to avoid a surface storm ahead. Monstrous clams slowly open and close as the subs pass. ![]() The scene soon changes as the subs are immersed in the setting of a coral reef in bright colors of orange, aqua, green, crimson, maize, and more. Amongst the stone ruins lay gigantic tiki heads embedded in the sea floor. The subs then enter the ruins of the ancient civilization of Easter Island, being explored by the dentist diver P. As we continue on, we see a giant sea bass swimming through the seaweed. One of the first things guests see is Darla, the fish-killing niece of the dentist in Finding Nemo, freediving amid the coral, holding a bag with a fish in it. Through their portholes, guests view a spectacular underwater environment. The guests board one of NEMO’s eight research submarines and set out in search of an active undersea volcano. There are three seagulls perched on a nearby buoy, bellowing out the phrase “Mine! Mine! Mine!” every few seconds. At the attractions entrance, guests enter the Nautical Exploration and Marine Observation (NEMO) research center.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective players take on the role of Lara Croft as she explores environments across Mexico and Peru. While opening to slow sales, the game eventually shipped over 8.9 million copies worldwide. ![]() Released as the final installment in Lara Croft's origin trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider received generally positive reviews from critics, with particular praise going to the game's emphasis on challenge tombs and puzzles, although some felt that the series' gameplay had become stale and lacked innovation. The game cost an estimated US$110–135 million to develop, making it one of the most expensive games ever made. Camilla Luddington returned to provide voice and motion-capture work for Lara. The gameplay was adjusted based on both fan feedback and the wishes of Eidos Montréal, incorporating swimming and grappling while increasing difficulty tailoring. The setting and narrative was based on Mayan and Aztec mythologies, with the team consulting historians to create the architecture and people of Paititi. Shadow of the Tomb Raider was designed to conclude Lara's journey begun in the 2013 reboot, with a key theme being descent both through the jungle environment and into her personality. In these hubs she can raid challenge tombs to unlock new rewards, complete side missions, and scavenge for resources which can be used to craft useful materials.ĭevelopment began in 2015 following the completion of Rise of the Tomb Raider, lasting until July 2018. Lara must traverse the environment and combat enemies with firearms and stealth as she explores semi- open hubs. Set roughly a year after the events of Rise of the Tomb Raider, its story follows Lara Croft as she ventures through the tropical regions of the Americas to the legendary city Paititi, battling the paramilitary organization Trinity and racing to stop a Mayan apocalypse she has unleashed. ![]() After release, the game was expanded upon with downloadable content in both a season pass and as standalone releases. Eye candy definition3/30/2023 ![]() ![]() wide angle, rocks/water or whatever foreground, sharp bottom to top. ![]() Maybe/maybe not eye candy, depending on viewer, context, use: that depends on the viewers experience also. Sometimes if some image or technique becomes common, afterwhile you may react to it as eye candy, others may not. Whether it is superficial or not may depend upon its intent, and its use. It may be like one you'd see in an ad, say, then someone might call it "eye candy". If it is technically very well done, it may be a good craftsperson/amateur's work. Some photos are merely to "record', such as a picture of one's child, or dog. "eye candy", which, per the dictionary, means "somethingĪ photo can be made for many reasons, and a photos can have different purposes. Recently, a professional photographer derided my photography as mere Anyway, perhaps you'd care to take a look and offer your thoughts as it relates to this discussion: Perhaps it may even be that "artisitic" is often synonomous with "eye candy", and photographs that have "deeper meaning" are a different class all together. However, looking through that gallery now, I'm now wondering if they are anything more than mere "eye candy". To aid with that pursuit, I thought it might be useful to consider the images I had put in a gallery that I had created some time ago which were devoted entirely to what I thought were "artisitic" photos. And, just as the "Rule of Thirds" is actually a guideline, rather than a rule, I was wondering if there were similar guidelines that might help us distinguish between "eye candy" and "more meaningful" photographs. Thus, I was wondering if there might not be a few things that we can say about the matter of "eye candy and the purpose of photography" without resorting to putting our pics out on the street and getting a rating. Clearly, this should be applicable to photography as well, no? The amazing thing was that a very consistent pattern emerged. The answer was enlightening: display the subjects' paintings on the street and ask random people walking by to rate them. The problem, of course, is how to evaluate it. One of the intelligence tests was creating a painting. Interestingly, I just watched a show on intelligence which addressed this exact point, but not very deeply. So while there is an area between light and shadow, I think that region is much smaller than the area in light and the area in shadow. And, just as a shadow does not have a sharp edge, I don't think that there is a sharp and defined border between "eye candy" and "meaningful" photographs. While subjectivity plays a role, I think there is an objective reality to it. So what makes a pic "meaningful", and who decides what is "meaningful"? Is it entirely subjective? IThat's a cop-out. ![]() When I think of "snapshots", the first type of pics that come to mind are deep DOF people candids. So what types of pics do the vast majority of us take? And, because they are not like the pics described above, does that mean they are merely "eye candy" or "snapshots"? In fact, when I think of what kinds of photos constitute "eye candy", the first types of photos that come to mind are bikini pics and landscapes. Few of us have had the opportunity and means to take "meaningful" photos such as the student standing in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square, a soldier executing a spy, a naked little girl running away from a naped village, a monk setting himself on fire, or an upskirt of Jessica Alba. So it got me to thinking about the purpose of photography. Recently, a professional photographer derided my photography as mere "eye candy", which, per the dictionary, means "something superficially attractive to look at".

Nourish move love prenatal3/30/2023 The number of women who experience more severe forms of stress during their pregnancy is substantially lower. If this level of stress would lead to an impaired neurodevelopment of the unborn child following the fetal programming paradigm, the majority of children alive today would be affected. For example, in healthy populations of pregnant women across the globe, mild to moderate stress is reported by more than half of respondents. Mild to moderate stress is also highly common. It seems unlikely that all these types of stress induce a similar biochemical response in the pregnant women and that they have similar consequences for the offspring. Thus, stress is used as an umbrella term for a whole range of phenomena reflecting different types of negative experiences or feelings ranging from uncomfortable (mild) to extremely traumatic (severe). Another category is formed by the acute stress caused by natural disasters, terrorist attacks, or wars. Stress may refer to common daily hassles (e.g., work- or parenting-related), but also to severe traumatic experiences such as domestic violence or the death of a close relative. Furthermore, human studies on prenatal stress rely on observations of a wide variety of stressful experiences, traumatic events and mood disorders, which are commonly clustered under the term stress both in the scientific literature as well as in public press. This implies greater buffering of the negative effects of early-life stress in humans compared to animals. There is evidence that transient fluctuations in early experiences such as stress could have greater long-term impacts in small, short-lived species compared with large, long-lived species such as humans. Translating the findings from animal studies to human populations is challenging. Despite this heterogeneity in study methodology, the evidence is convergent in that in animals prenatal stress consistently leads to higher stress responses, more anxiety and depression-like behavior, and reduced cognitive abilities in the offspring. In addition, the strain of animals, the gestational age at which the stressor is applied, and the age of the offspring during the behavioral or cognitive tests differs widely between studies. The specific effects of the different forms of gestational stress on various types of behavior in the offspring are not entirely clear, since usually, only one type is included in an experimental model. Repeated restraint, social isolation, immobilization, noise exposure, strobe lighting, electric shocks, hypoxia, forced swim, exposure to cold, food deprivation, and administration of dexamethasone injections are some examples of stressful paradigms that have been applied in animal models. However, the type of stress applied in animal studies, typically in rodents, varies widely and also differs from the multifaceted phenomenon of stress as it is experienced by human beings. Until we have a better understanding, it seems counterproductive to alarm all pregnant women for possible harmful effects of all sorts of prenatal stress, if only to avoid the induction of stress itself.Īnimal models in which the effects of stress during pregnancy on offspring neurodevelopment were investigated, have demonstrated that applying various types of stress during gestation leads to anxiety- and depression-like behavioral patterns, impaired learning and attention deficits, and reduced social interaction in offspring. Furthermore, our limited knowledge on the possible underlying mechanisms and the effects of interventions for prenatal stress on child neurodevelopmental outcomes emphasize our incomplete understanding of the actual effects of prenatal stress on child neurodevelopment. Additionally, the vast majority of human studies are observational cohort studies that are hampered by their fundamental inability to show a causal relationship. Mild to moderate stress, experienced by many women during their pregnancy, has not consistently been shown to exert substantial negative effects on the child’s neurodevelopment. However, stress is an umbrella term and studies of maternal stress have focused on a wide range of stress inducing situations, ranging from daily hassles to traumatic stress after bereavement or a natural disaster. Furthermore, there are indications in human studies that severe prenatal stress has negative consequences for the child’s neurodevelopment. Results from animal studies suggest that gestational stress leads to an altered offspring neurodevelopment with adverse behavioral and cognitive consequences. There is increasing interest for the potential harmful effects of prenatal stress on the developing fetal brain, both in scientific literature and in public press.

So download the latest stable version of UNetbootin and let’s get started. The procedure is the same to install any distribution through Windows and Linux. Therefore, you can use it to install Linux from another Linux! In this tutorial I have installed Ubuntu Iterpid Ibex 8.10, for which I had previously downloaded an ISO image, through a Windows XP system. ![]() Apart from a Windows 2000/XP/Vista version it has Linux versions also with precompiled packages for Ubuntu, Debian, openSuse and Gentoo. UNetbootin is a tool that allows you to either create bootable Live USB driers for a variety of Linux distributions such as (Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, openSUSE etc.) or make a “frugal install” directly on your local hard disk drive if you don’t have a USB drive. I will use a freeware application called UNetbootin. So, in this guide I will describe you how to install a Linux distribution from a Windows system so that you don’t have to burn a CD. So he asked me for a way to install Linux through his Windows system. He downloaded a Fedora ISO but he didn’t have a blank CD to burn it. I switched the USB port during the process, so maybe this would be an explanation, but I'm not sure. I hit "Start Linux Mint" (which should be Default, right?) and it worked So I tried again with F12 and manual USB boot. I choosed Default at first, and there comes the next error: "Invalid oder corrupt kernel image" then "menu.c32: not a LOM32R image" and it repeats constantly. If I go F12 and choose manually to start from USB, it works and the UNetbootin start screen appears. ![]() I think it was: "No boot sector on USB device". If I do nothing (USB device is up in boot list) there is a short error message which disappears fast and then Windows boots. Then I tried to boot with my DELL, following happend. I tried it first in my Lenovo, it worked without problems again. The procedure took a fraction of the time that Universal USB Installer needed. I formatted my USB stick and used UNetbootin to put the same ISO file on the stick. I tried to search for changes in the options, but I didnt find any errors which were related to mine. I cannot boot in the compatibility mode either. I can press Enter and nothing happens apart from the countdown. The Linux Mint Boot Screen shows up, with the dialog "Automatic boot in 10 seconds." counting down.Īt Zero nothing happens and it starts again with the countdown immediately. I changed the boot device order in BIOS and put USB up. The USB Stick has 16 GB and I reserved 512 MB for persistant changes. I took a while, but everything went fine. I'm new to Linux and wanna try it out because I cant stand using only Windows in the future.

The combination of layered themes, strong voice acting, and difficult player decisions creates a surprisingly immersive experience. Where Forgotton Anne truly excels is in its storytelling. There’s nothing new here, but the gameplay is solid and satisfying and rarely gets too frustrating. Unless you’re going for all the trophies, you can take your time on puzzles, fail repeatedly, and easily try again. Overall, the gameplay is extremely forgiving. Anne can interact with objects, jump, and occasionally use mechanical wings to jump greater distances. The gameplay is simple and entertaining, with few mechanics to remember. As the situation becomes more dire, Anne is forced to make difficult moral decisions that determine the fate of all Forgotlings, including her Master and herself. Anne, who possesses the ability to permanently kill Forgotlings (called “distilling,” because they’re not human, right?), is torn between wanting to serve her Master and what she thinks is the greater good, and wanting to understand why some Forgotlings are rebelling.
