Ffxiv maelstrom ranks4/2/2023 ![]() Once you’ve unlocked Expert Deliveries, the fastest way to get gear to sell is to run dungeons on a max level character unsynced. This will show all of the gear in your inventory that can be sold to your Grand Company for Seals. Select “Undertake supply and provisioning missions” and then click the “Expert Delivery” tab. You can turn in gear to your Grand Company’s Personnel Officer: Eligible weapons and armor are anything marked with green, blue, or pink rarity, and you get more Company Seals for gear with higher item levels. Expert Deliveries allow you to turn in weapons and armor to your Personnel Officer for seals. (You’ll have to use the other methods to reach this rank first). This is the best way to gain ranks, but it won’t unlock until you reach the Sergeant Second Class. With the “why” out of the way, let’s talk about the “how.” Notably, at the Sergeant Rank, you can purchase Glamour Prisms and Glamour Dispellers from the Quartermasters, among other things (more on that later). The lower ranks simply offer gear, but higher ranks give you access to worthwhile materials. ![]() Why do you want to be a higher rank within your Grand Company, outside of the raised cap on Company Seals? Well, higher ranks give you access to better items at the storefronts from the respective Quartermasters. Serpent Personnel Officer – New Gridania (X: 9.8, Y: 11.0).Flame Personnel Officer – Ul’dah – Steps of Nald (X: 8.3, Y: 9.0).Storm Personnel Officer – Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks (X: 13.1, Y: 12.7).The Personnel Officers are in each Grand Company Headquarters within each city. When you have the prerequisite for the rank finished, go talk to your Grand Company’s Personnel Officer and select “Apply for a promotion”. Captain (90,000 Max Seals): Complete 5 Command Missions, then complete “Flagged Mission: Sapper Strike”.First Lieutenant (80,000 Max Seals): Complete “Flagged Mission: Crystal Recovery” from Adventurer Squadrons.Second Lieutenant (50,000 Max Seals): 9,000 Seals, Complete Grand Company Hunting Log Rank 2 and “Gilding the Bilious” quest.Chief Sergeant (45,000 Max Seals): 8,000 Seals, Complete “Shadows Uncast” quest.Sergeant First Class (40,000 Max Seals): 7,000 Seals.Sergeant Second Class (35,000 Max Seals): 6,000 Seals.Sergeant Third Class (30,000 Max Seals): 5,000 Seals, Complete Grand Company Hunting Log Rank 1.Private First Class (20,000 Max Seals): 3,000 Seals.Private Second Class (15,000 Max Seals): 2,000 Seals.Private Third Class (10,000 Max Seals): Starting rank.Here’s all the ranks and what’s needed to unlock them. Promotion requires you to pay a certain amount of Seals, and at higher ranks, you’ll have to complete certain quests. When you cap out on Seals, any additional Seals you gain simply disappear, so you want to be spending them or working toward increasing your cap by getting promoted. Effectively, this means you can only hold a maximum total of 10,000 Company Seals. When you first join a Grand Company, you’ll be at the rank of Private Third Class. How Do I Get Promoted in My Grand Company? Overall, it doesn’t matter which one you pick since they don’t differ in terms of what they offer. Each quest will also offer you a unique dye related to that Grand Company. The three quests are all names “The Company You Keep,” with the Grand Company name attached. Each one will confirm your membership to that specific Grand Company. Once you’ve completed the level 20 main scenario quest “A Hero in the Making,” you’ll gain access to three different quests. How Do I Unlock Grand Companies?Įach Grand Company has a quest to unlock access early on in A Realm Reborn. Here, we’re going to show you how to farm GC Seals fast and what you should be spending them on. You can use them to purchase unique items from the Quartermasters at each company’s headquarters. Seals are specific to each Grand Company, meaning if you switch companies, your Seals don’t move with you. These tasks include FATEs, the Duty Roulette, Grand Company Leves, turning in unused loot, and completing some quests. GC Seals are currency awarded when you complete certain tasks in the game. If you’ve made it far enough to join one of Final Fantasy XIV’s three Grand Companies of Eorzea - The Maelstrom, The Immortal Flames, or The Order of the Twin Adder - then you’ve probably gotten a few Grand Company Seals.
